Trochus snail
The Trochus Snail is one of the most effective and reef-safe members of any clean-up crew. Known for its impressive appetite for nuisance algae, this hardy snail helps control film algae, diatoms, and other algae growth on rocks, glass, and aquarium equipment, making it an essential addition to both new and established reef aquariums.
Unlike many other snail species, Trochus Snails can right themselves if they fall onto their backs, greatly improving their chances of survival. They are active grazers that spend the day constantly cleaning surfaces while remaining completely safe around corals and other invertebrates.
Peaceful, hardy, and easy to care for, Trochus Snails are an excellent choice for reef keepers of all experience levels. They also have the potential to reproduce in healthy reef aquariums, providing a natural boost to your clean-up crew over time.
