Albertan Reef was founded on one principle: quality over quantity.

As reef hobbyists ourselves, we understand that every coral, fish, and piece of equipment added to your system matters. Our focus is on carefully selected marine livestock, responsible handling, and honest representation — not bulk volume or rushed turnover.

Based in Alberta, we serve local reefers and ship across Canada. Whether you’re building your first reef or refining a high-end system, we aim to provide livestock and equipment we would confidently use in our own tanks.

Business Schedule

Albertan Reef operates on a structured 7 days on / 7 days off schedule.

As the founder, I work a rotational career schedule outside of the business. This allows Albertan Reef to remain independently operated, carefully managed, and quality-focused rather than volume-driven.

During my off week, I am fully dedicated to livestock intake, inspections, customer communication, special orders, and local pickup coordination.

During my work week, response times may be slightly extended, but all inquiries are reviewed and answered as promptly as possible.

This structure ensures that every coral and order receives proper attention — without rushing livestock through the system.
