The Lyretail Anthias is one of the most vibrant and active reef fish available, prized for its brilliant orange, pink, and golden coloration and its graceful, constant swimming. Males develop elongated lyre-shaped tail fins along with deeper magenta and purple highlights, making them a stunning centerpiece in any reef aquarium.

Naturally found in large schools above coral reefs, Lyretail Anthias thrive when kept in small groups consisting of one male and several females. Their energetic behavior and constant movement add life and color to the aquarium, while their peaceful nature makes them excellent tankmates for most reef-safe species.

Lyretail Anthias require frequent feedings of high-quality frozen and prepared foods to maintain their vibrant coloration and overall health. In a mature reef aquarium with stable water quality and plenty of swimming space, they are hardy and rewarding fish to keep.
