The Bicolor Blenny is a colourful, entertaining little reef fish known for its distinctive two-tone coloration and huge personality. Adults typically display a dark blue to brown front half that transitions dramatically into a bright yellow-orange tail section, creating the unmistakable “bicolor” appearance.

Bicolor Blennies spend much of their time perched on rockwork or peeking out from small caves and crevices. Once comfortable in the aquarium, they quickly develop a reputation for being curious little characters that keep a close eye on everything happening around them.

They naturally graze on algae and organic films growing across rock surfaces, making an established aquarium with plenty of live rock ideal. Their diet should also be supplemented with marine algae, spirulina-based foods and quality prepared marine foods.

Bicolor Blennies are generally peaceful and reef safe, although they may become territorial toward other blennies or similarly shaped fish. Occasionally, an individual may nip at clam mantles or fleshy corals, so they are generally considered reef safe with some caution.

Provide plenty of rockwork with caves and holes where the blenny can establish its own territory. A secure aquarium lid is also recommended.
