Cerith snail
The Cerith Snail is a versatile and highly beneficial member of any reef aquarium clean-up crew. These hardworking snails spend their days grazing on film algae, diatoms, cyanobacteria, and detritus from rocks, glass, and the sand bed, helping maintain a cleaner and healthier aquarium.
Unlike many algae-eating snails, Cerith Snails are excellent sand cleaners, frequently burrowing beneath the substrate to consume leftover food and organic waste. This natural behavior helps aerate the sand bed while reducing detritus buildup in hard-to-reach areas.
Completely reef safe and peaceful, Cerith Snails are ideal for reef aquariums of all sizes and pair well with Trochus, Nassarius, and Turbo Snails to create a balanced clean-up crew.
