The Broad-Barred Green Acropora Goby is a tiny but incredibly interesting reef fish known for its brilliant green coloration, distinctive reddish facial and body markings, and close relationship with branching corals.

In the wild, these gobies spend much of their lives living among the branches of Acropora corals, where they perch, hide and defend their small territory. Rather than constantly swimming around the aquarium, they tend to hop between coral branches and rockwork, making them a fascinating fish to watch up close.

Despite their small size, Broad-Barred Green Acropora Gobies have plenty of personality and can be surprisingly bold once established. They are generally peaceful toward other species but may become territorial with other coral gobies, particularly in smaller aquariums.

They are considered reef safe with caution. Coral gobies naturally associate with SPS corals and may occasionally nip at coral tissue or clear small patches of tissue when preparing a nesting site. This is usually better tolerated by large, healthy colonies than small Acropora frags.

Feed a varied carnivorous diet of mysis, enriched brine shrimp, copepods and finely chopped or appropriately sized prepared marine foods.
